Epic Games announced a phone app for creating 3D models

The world-famous developer of such popular games as Fortnite and Gears of War demonstrated his new “brainchild” this week. The RealityScan application will allow anyone to create 3D models of objects using only a smartphone camera.
To create a model it will be necessary to take about two dozen pictures of the object from different sides. It is desirable that the pictures were taken in good light and did not contain any foreign objects.

At the moment the application is only at the testing stage, in the near future about 10 thousand users will have access to its testing on the Apple TestFlight site. The release of the test iOS-version is scheduled for the spring, the Android-version – for the end of the year
